Select+ is operated by Lucky Lemon Ltd under the Select+ brand. Lucky Lemon Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 17494198. For UK data-protection purposes, Lucky Lemon Ltd is the data controller where Select+ determines how personal information is used.

This notice covers the Select+ marketing website at selectplusmusic.com, the Select+ iPhone app, support communications and the public shared-playlist experience at selectplusmusic.app.
Information used by the app
Apple Music access
With your permission, Select+ uses Apple Music through Apple's MusicKit services to search the Apple Music catalogue, play music, understand relevant listening preferences and create playlist suggestions. Select+ does not receive your Apple ID password or payment details.
Personalisation and mix history
Your preferences, recent mix history, repeat-avoidance information and explicitly saved mixes are designed to remain on your device. They are used to make results more relevant and to reduce unwanted repetition.
Public playlist sharing
If you deliberately create a public share link, Select+ sends the playlist information needed to display that page, which may include the playlist title, track and artist metadata, artwork and a share identifier. Anyone with the link may be able to view that playlist. Do not include private or sensitive information in a shared playlist title.
Shared-playlist information remains available while the public link is active. You can ask for a shared link to be removed by contacting support.
Device and service information
Limited technical information may be processed where necessary to operate, secure and diagnose the website, app and sharing service. This can include IP address, device or browser type, timestamps, request information and error records. Select+ does not use this information for advertising.
Website data and cookies
The marketing website does not currently use advertising trackers, behavioural analytics, account registration or marketing cookies. Essential hosting and security technologies may operate to deliver and protect the site. Read the Cookie Notice for more detail.
Support communications
If you email Select+, the information you provide—such as your email address, message and relevant diagnostic details—is used to answer your request, investigate a problem and maintain an appropriate support record. Please do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information.
Why information is used
- To provide app features and services you request, including playback, playlist creation and public sharing.
- To respond to support, privacy and legal enquiries.
- To protect the service, prevent misuse and diagnose faults.
- To meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal rights where necessary.
The relevant UK GDPR lawful bases are performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting Select+, consent where a device permission requires it, and legal obligation where applicable.
Who information may be shared with
Information is shared only where needed with service providers supporting website hosting, infrastructure, public links and technical operations; with Apple when you use Apple Music or the App Store; or with authorities where required by law. Select+ does not sell personal information and does not share it for third-party behavioural advertising.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires it, appropriate transfer safeguards are used.
How long information is kept
Information is kept only for as long as needed for the purpose described. On-device information remains until you remove it, reset the app or uninstall it, subject to device backups. Support records are retained while the enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Security and diagnostic records follow the retention periods used by the relevant infrastructure provider.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal information, object to certain uses, receive portable data, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact support to exercise a right.
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Select+ is intended for people aged 13 and over. Where local law requires parental or guardian permission, a young person should use Select+ only with that permission. Select+ does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when Select+ changes or legal requirements develop. Material changes will be highlighted through the website or app where appropriate, and the date above will be revised.
